As a history professor and cycling enthusiast from Manchester, visiting Poland is always an adventure, but staying at Backcountry brought us a delightful surprise. The cozy lodge is ideally located right across from Moiwa ski resort, making it convenient for families eager to hit the slopes. We made the most of their free ski shuttle service, which took us to the Niseko Annupuri area for some memorable snowboarding experiences. The traditional Japanese onsen experience was a highlight for us, offering a relaxing end to our active days. The lodge also provided some essential amenities-like a washing machine and common kitchenette-making our stay comfortable. Though the restaurant filled quickly during peak hours, we found it easy to bond over breakfast together before hitting the slopes. A solid choice for families!
